Visiting Morris

Visiting Morris

Week ago we went to visit Morris who is living in Bydgoszcz with his family. Morris left us a year ago as the last kitten from litter M to live with a family where everyone have a name beginning on this particular letter. So ther is Mrs Monika and Mr Maciej, a british shorthair girl named Mago and lately also a little boy - son of the owners - named Marcel. At first Morris and Mago needed some time to get along as the girl couldn't accept the fact, she's no longer the…Read more
Cats in Thailand – part 1 – Street cats

Cats in Thailand – part 1 – Street cats

Since we started a cattery, Thailand was always on our list of places to see. This year Feline Veterinary Medicyne Congress was taking place in this country. We decided to combine "business" with pleasure and join learning and holiday in one trip. We had been planning this for couple of months before so we can go on our own and avoid travel agency. Thanks to that we were able to see more than a common tourist. We were curious if it's true that almost every stray cat in Thailand looks like a purebred…Read more

I also prepared some portraits out of her original photos. You can check them out below. She was such a sweet little kitten: She always was fond of feathers: Even when she has grown up  she still does her stupid faces: And this little tigerish nose... :) Mamy też portrety - prezenty dla rodzeństwa Helenki. Happy - some photos are so fun that…Read more
Litters N & O in new homes

Litters N & O in new homes

It’s been almost two months since our kittens from litters N and O left for new homes. It got a bit quiet, a bit empty but what’s good we don’t need to clean up so often J  I’m not saying we have more time for ourselves because our “Big five” still needs to be taken care of and we have a bit busy time at work. I’m also taking all the chances I get to take part in congresses, symposia and other lectures. Soon we will also leave for I think – well…Read more
Visiting Matylda

Visiting Matylda

On Saturday, after the lectures on PSLWMZ (Polish Association of Small Animal Practitioners) I had the opportunity to accept invitation for visiting Matylda and her family. Matylda is from Helen first litter and since last year she lives with her family in Łódź. Since we’ve seen each other last time, she has grown up and got some colors. She still has intense blue eyes. Despite the fact she is seal point, you can see she got some tabby patterns from her mom as well – it’s noticeable because of some mild stripes on…Read more

Control tests for FIV and FeLV – 2017

Control tests for FIV and FeLV – 2017

Thai Cattery Viosna*PL from the very beginning is free from Feline Immunodeficency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) - dangerous contagious diseases. All our breeding cats are also free from genetic disorder causing PRA - Progressive Retinal Atrophy that leads to blindness. As every year in September it is time for annual check up. As usual we did routine diagnostic tests for FIV and FeLV to all our cats. Even Whisper, who retired this year and is no longer a breeding queen was checked for those. Also Dziabąg had those tests done…Read more

World without…

Two weeks ago it was black Tuesday, at least for us. And as it later turned out - it was just a bad beginning. Monday evening didn't announce anything bad was going to happen. As usually cats got their supper, Marcel and Pola got a big carrot which they sniffed right after I put it in their cage. We went to sleep as Tuesday for me was suppose to start with classes at school, then shift in the clinic and homecoming around 9 p.m. to serve cat & bunny supper. We are not…Read more
Review from International Cat Show in Toruń – September 2017

Review from International Cat Show in Toruń – September 2017

Last weekend, we went to Toruń for cat show, according to plan. Cody finally started his career as an adult. We hoped to start it much earlier. he was suppose to debut on World Show first part of this year. But because our girls were pregnant we let it go back then. But what is delayed is not lost and finally our first tomcat got his first notes as an "man". Girls continued their titles from previous shows where Elmirka finished European Champion and started collecting judges notes for Grand International Champion. In…Read more
