Little update

Lately I didn’t have much time to write. A bit of my own health issues, busy time at work (among others because of the end of the school year) and I didn’t manage to update the page a bit. And we had some things going on.

Older kittens from litter N already had two vaccinations and also neutering done. The last day of June Newton and Neo got their spaying in the clinic where I work – nicely and without any problems. Everything went smooth and after less than an hour they were both awake and ready to go home. I think they didn’t noticed at all that there was something “missing”.

Last Wednesday also Nutella had her spaying done. Because with females it takes a bit longer it also requires longer sedation. Thanks to the courtesy of another amicable vet clinic I was able to use inhalation anasthesia to make the procedure. And also here it went without any surprises. Around an hour and half since arriving to the clinic, we were ready to go back home with Nutella fully awake and trying to get out of her carrier. For now she runs around the house in her post – op outfit to enable proper and uncomplicated healing of the wound. She doesn’t seem to bother at all and she plays and jumps as usuall. Maybe she’s just a bit of an attraction for other cats because of the little strings used to tie her clothing. Of course these are a perfect toy 😉

Little ones from litter O are already dewormed and since last Sunday – also vaccinated twice. They really keep up with older “siblings” except for the size. But with rest they are the same – they get everywhere, climb up on the highes shelves in cat room and on the scratching posts. Together with Neo, Newton and Nutella they run around the house like crazy or participate in their own “fight club”.

Sonn – after 22nd of July – kittens from litter N will start to leave us for their new homes. Time runs so fast and they grow up so quickly.. and they romp more and more 😉 Sometimes I get mixed feelings because of that. It happens that I miss time when it was enough to clear the litterboxes once a day and when I cleaned the house up it was still at least a bit tidy the next day.  But these are just single moments of weaknes. So far we try to enjoy every chance we get to spend with the kittens while they are still around. It happens that instead of taking photos we just play with them or cannot get up cuz they sit or lay on us 🙂 But lately we managed to find some extra time and grab a camera. Results of that I will present in the next post, so follow up the page 😉
