Melman is a very balanced and calm little boy. Compared to rest of his siblings he may seem shy but this is rather his gentle temperament. Melman is a carefull and patient observer – thinker/philosopher. But this doesn’t mean You can get bored around him. While playing he likes to chase little strings the most – almost like his mom Helen. When you hold him – the best attraction are all the strings, bonds, straps and other similar parts of clothes. When the little ones play together, Melman often lets Matilda and Morris take the toys. Beacuse of that he appears to be as older brother even when all the kittens are the same age.

 

Melman likes contact with people very much and he was also the first one to purr while we pet him (before he only did that while suckling his mum). He is very gentle, when he takes his favourite snacks from a hand he is very sensitive. When we pet him under his chin, on the neck and chest (which he seems to like) after a while he often starts to lick our fingers. He gets along with other cats very nicely – even with our Dziabąg. Different than Morris – he realised pretty fast that Dziabąg hates when someone plays with his tail 😉

When we got both sick with Tomek, Melman was our companion throught this “bad times”. I’ve noticed that he sleeps with us when I woke up next to him in the middle of the night. But before that he already tried to come to our bed and get under the covers.
