Copyrights
As You probably have noticed, all photos on our website (those in the Gallery and all posts) have watermark for copyright. We managed to find ads using photos of other catteries – as it turned out – without their permission.
When we started our cattery, also decided to set this page – knowing it will cost us a lot of additional work to run it. Taking photos of cats (especially thai kittens which are spontaneous and agile) is quite a difficult task. Often we train our patience trying to get a good shot frame or efficient quality – cats are not always willing to work with us. Many times it turned out that after many hours session and hundreds of photos, only few were good enough to be published. We try to keep cattery website up to date, kittens profiles are run separately for each litter to help future owners make up their mind about a kitten. You can say, that our cattery is our website as well. Our work is not only taking care for our animals but also many hours by the computer and behind the camera,
We feel sad and angry that some people cannot respect others work about the above. We understand that someone doesn’t have time or patience to take photos of own cats, but using other catteries photos for ads – without authors knowledge and permission – is an ordinary theft. What’s more – it misinforms a potential future owner, so can be considered a fraud.
Same thing with photos and articles used without authors knowledge in educational materials, handouts etc. It’s not a problem to contact and ask about using our work. We also care for popularizing thai breed, spreading information and educating about proper care for cats and familiar subjects. We just don’t want to be abused and wish to avoid using our work (photos, articles etc.) in the wrong way or purpose.
All these are a reason why we’d like to inform that we won’t stay indifferent to copyright violation – when it comes to our articles, posts, photos or materials send to us by owners of cats from our or familiar catteries. We also ask You to report any use of our photos on any other pages or portals.
‘Publishing, cypying, modyfying photos without authors permitions is violation of intellectual property rights and considered theft’ – according to Polish Act (Dz.U. 1994, nr 24, poz. 83, art. 115 ust. 1) chargeable fine, restriction of liberty or imprisonment for up to 3 years.
