Litter M in new homes
We’ve received photos from all new homes of our cats from litter M. Today we present to You how they manage and how they settled in the new families.
Melman was the first one to leave for new home. He had the longest journey from the litter, because his new family lives in Lublin (over 460 km). Luckily he handled his trip by car pretty well and started to explore unknown places right after arrival. He found it easy to fall in love with his new family and became a source of laughter and joy for them. From the photos we’ve got we can also tell he is also pretty happy himself 🙂

New place wasn’t the only new thing for Melman. Apart from people in his new family, there is also another thai type cat – named Fretka. She couldn’t wait for his arrival even though she maybe didn’t know what it meant. Getting to know each other and becoming friends with Melman and Fretka took a couple of days and went peacefully. After a short while she even allowed him to sleep with her in her favourite chair (and she even doesn’t let people stay in it).

Both cats were closer to each other with time. And even despite the fact that Melman bothers Fretka sometimes and then runs away, pretends to be innocent, we think they won’t be able to live without each other now. you can judge it for yourself 😉

Matylda was next to leave the cattery. She went to her new home in Łódź, where she is the only cat in the family 🙂 Maybe that was also a reason that she missed us for first couple of days and it took her a while to settle down.
Precticly from the very beginning she loved sleeping with her new family members. the best way is to cuddle in bed, most often to someones leg 😉

Matylda still loves to play with dangler pole feathers and remains a very active cat. That is also a reason why it’s so hard to take a proper photo of her. This is why she is asleep in most pictures we’ve received 🙂
First weekend at new home Matylda spent on watchin a movie “The Deluge”. Now we wonder how she will handle watching another polish historic novel movie adaptation “The Knights of the Teutonic Order” 😉
Morris had to wait the longest for his new home and was the last one to leave us. But it turns out last but not least. Although he was the last one to go, he stays closest to us – also in Bydgoszcz. He found a family where all the members names start with “M” so he fits there beautifully 😉
After leaving the cattery Morris still remains a cuddler and fond of naps together. He also doesn’t let his family get away from it and even in the middle of work he can fall asleep on their hands. He doesn’t miss the oportunity to cuddle together in bed and is still a master of funny ways to sleep 🙂
Morris family also has another cat member, a british shorthair girl name Mago. She still is very sceptic about the new guy. Morris shows his normal enthusiasm for games, he bothers and provokes her to play. But she doesn’t always want to follow. Unfortunately Morris is so desperate for fun with another cat, that he ignores or misses her subtle sighs to get off and leave her alone.
Because Morris stayed in Bydgoszcz, we took the invitation and visited him last Sunday. Despite the fact he is in new home for just two weeks, we could see tha he is already settled in. he even figured out a way to get one a top shelf of the cat tree, where he cannot climb up. If he wants to get there, he jumps on the wall, bounces back and lands on the shelf – a little parkour performed in a cat way. 🙂
His relations with Mago show that he is very eager to become friends and chase around the house but she only tolerates him so far but doesn’t love yet. In some situations it is clear he pisses her of and she tries to leave for one of her spots and just observe him from far. But Morris seems not to understand that sometimes a girl needs to be left alone because he follows her most of the time. Becoming good friends may take a longer whiler here but we believe it’s headed that way. For now Morris is left with playing with toys such as balls or fetching his favourite feathers, asking people to throw it for him 😉
Soon Morris also will have to learn to accept new family member as the family will have another – little – human at home. We are very curious how he handles that. So far we got positive feedback about our cats and little childern. Morris seems to sense what’s cooking, because on some photos we can even see how he cuddles to the belly of future mom 😉
