Control test for FIV and FeLV – 2015
Thai cattery Viosna*PL is free from diseases: Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).
Our cats and their offspring are also negative for gene causing PRA – progressive retinal atrophy that results blindness.
These year once again we did control tests for Feline Leukemia and FIV.
Collecting blood sample from Dziabąg and Elmirka was done without any objections. Whisper tried to resist a little bit but it didn’t work at all for her we still got the sample. Helen turned out to be a little bit as her grandma but she also had to “donate” some blood.
Doing the test itself turned out to be the easiest and smooth part. After putting right amount of blood and reagent drops we could check results after 15 minutes. Of course all the results for both diseases turned out negative for all our cats.
